What The Blog is StatCounter?

Ever heard of StatCounter? For those who have their own blog or website, the statistics provided here will prove very useful, once you make use of their configurable hit counter for tracking site visits.

I find the features here very helpful when I want to analyze and monitor all visits to my blogs - What The Blog? and MyChocoCoffee. I’ll be able to know from which part of the world has come across my blogs, and even pinpoint the exact location.

For instance, I took this screenshot from one of the features – Recent Visitor Map. Yup, that’s a satellite image… very, very cool!

I’m assuming this is my cousin Anne, whom I know is living in Maryland, United States...

What The Blog is Blogger?

Don't have a blog yet? In Blogger, you can create your own in just 3 easy steps: Create an account, Name your blog, and Choose a template. Easy huh?

Blogger from Pyra Labs has been around since 1999, and was acquired by Google in 2003. It is now the most popular blogging tool, and more importantly - it is free to use! The features are aplenty, and publishing posts a cinch.

As a novice blogger, I like the fact that Blogger allows me to customize my blog with ease. Features such as adding and arranging page elements with a simple click-and-drag, comments moderation, editing HTML, archiving options, and a lot more.

Another cool feature is that Blogger automatically pings Weblogs.com - a blog update notification service, whenever you make changes to your blog.
